Chiara Motley is an award-winning writer, producer, and actress based in Los Angeles and Seattle. Her original drama pilot Paradise Lanes won Best TV Pilot at both the HollyShorts Film Festival and the Big Apple Film Festival in 2025, and was a Semifinalist at the Austin Film Festival.
Chiara’s work as a producer spans narrative film, digital series, and audio. She co-created, produced, and starred opposite Michael Potts in All Souls, which received the Gold Award at DC WebFest and the Audience Award at FLICKFAIR. She also co-produced two acclaimed seasons of The Corps, featured at the American Black Film Festival and Urbanworld. Her broader body of work includes music videos, immersive transmedia projects, and video portraits in collaboration with Urban Word NYC. She is also the producer and co-host of Good Pain, a podcast exploring BDSM and power dynamics.
A classically trained performer, Chiara holds a B.A. in Drama from Stanford University—where she was awarded the Evelyn M. Draper Prize for Performance—and an M.F.A. from the National Theatre Conservatory. She has performed on stages across the country, including ACT, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre Company, and Baltimore Center Stage.
Chiara is currently producing multiple projects in development, including Home Bound (Tijuana Ricks) and A Woman Abroad (Amy Kersten), both of which center bold, singular female perspectives. She serves on the advisory board of Emergence Films, a production company dedicated to supporting female and gender-expansive filmmakers through education, mentorship, and funding, and is a 2026 Fox Writers Incubator Fellow.
